spinga certified funu practitioner and of course your host for the Learn Feng Shui podcast this week we're looking at the November energy update November Energy report so we're going to explore what's in store for the weeks ahead and look at those key energies to be aware of plus look at tips for harnessing the natural flow of the season to stay balance and aligned as well as healthy let's take a look at how November's energy can support you in your journey this month especially with the beginning of the holiday season I do have the newsletter up and it covers everything we talk about here and more including things like lucky date as well as how to follow these energies go check that out learnfengshui.com and it's under the blog post all right guys so starting off November 6th through the 21st does start off the month of the wood Pig November 6th brings in the month of the wood Pig in that first solar cycle of energy known as a micro season or a seasonal node which is a 15-day cycle of energy we have two each month that goes from November 6th through the 21st and that is called coming of winter it does signify the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the colder months and function it is time to start conserving energy and preparing for the winter ahead and that is symbolized by introspection and rest in Chinese medicine of course it does emphasize taking care of your kidneys and eating warming foods to strengthen your body for the winter for the next 15-day solar cycle of energy minor snow that is November 21st through December 7th or so this cycle marks the time where the temperature drops even more and maybe we see some snowfall in some areas and it's not really heavy yet so maybe just a little light frosting of the ground it is a good time of course for reflection and making way for new ideas for the coming year so in funu you might want to focus on like decluttering and letting go of things that no longer serve you and preparing for the quiet winter season where you do things like going to bed early some indoor cycling or some light walking a warm bath soak with some Epsom salt even things like reflective journaling or planning as a nice introspective thing you can do this uh month here and of course foods you can eat foods that are high in iron we want to protect our Kidney Health seasonal vegetables like cabbage and bok choy help with your digestion of course and adding much needed minerals and I do believe the dark green vegetables are higher in Iron of course for warming spices you could do things like cinnamon cloves looking here at the November newsletter weatherwise linia weather trend to suggest warmer weather in the South while the northern states may experience that colder temperature and of course if it was warm for you on November 1st it you may experience another warm front there so it's really not unusual for November pretty you know standard for this time of year especially here in the South and we're really going to look more in depth at Foods nourish your kidneys and everything next week when we talk about funu for your holiday feast we'll look at how to balance the five elements in your uh eating this month so we'll take a look at that and just kind of staying healthy and stuff like that but first let's go ahead and continue with this newsletter and look at the Zodiac forecast for the month of November well looking at the Zodiac forecast for the month remember there's only certain zodiac signs that the energy will really impact uh there's some that won't really feel much impact at all you know so the energy does impact you depending on where it falls in your natal chart remember you do have four zodiac signs you can take note of where these zodiac signs fall and that is the area that it has a potential to impact if these fall in your year it can impact your Social Circle friends you know the community around you if it's in the month it's more about your career and even your parental relationships the day does impact your health and your personal relationships or romantic relationships and the hour that really is all introspective your thoughts feelings emotions your relationship with your children and your subordinates so if you are a boss and you have a little bit of a downline or you're a manager these are going to people be the people that are working underneath you for this we only look at the zodiac signs we don't consider any other information in the chart and if you don't know what your zodiac signs are you definitely head to the website at learnfengshui.com and do have a plotter you just plug in your birthday and if you don't know what time you were born don't even worry about it it gives you pretty much the information you need to make a nice little assessment here looking first at the energy that governs the month the pig so we can look at these what are called the shin Shaw stars to see where to focus your attention energies you can use this month of the emperor star does help you resolve situations and turn a negative into a positive Dragon virtue does indicate putting plans into action as well as having some Power Authority and Status ones you want to look out for are going to be one called brutal defeat and this isn't as bad as it sounds like brutal defeat just sounds horrible right some of these Stars sound really bad one thing that kind of represents it's just things going wrong obstacles and some setbacks and even self-sabotage so those are just some things to kind of look out for for the month um another thing is called the death God so you won't die but it does indicate some personal items being lost maybe stalling or experiencing some setbacks maybe even insecurity or having a stagma energy one thing you can also look for and I forgot to include this in a newsletter so a little bonus if you're listening here is the red Matchmaker so long-term relationship maybe you could take things to the next level but do be careful of one called Heavenly ad adversity because it does create more of a psychological feeling of bad luck or blaming things on bad fate and even insecurity also with that extra energy of that death God those are some things the pig or bore animal sign can watch out for for the month a lot of times it really is just our perception and the way we feel and this energies can impact that in there but doesn't necessarily uh cause like I said death or defeat or anything like that it's more of the way we're feeling and a psychological effect the seasonal combination which does does have the potential to create a very strong energy to empower you bring a wealth opportunity and even you know other benefits collaborations and things like that you can use this energy to expand your knowledge put your skills in a practice to gain experience and Kickstart your progress and that is a seasonal combination I forgot to mention uh if you have the rat or the ox you can you know have that information available to you all three zodia ex signs do represent the energy that embodies water and so all these things again just expanding your knowledge putting it into practice and kickstarting your progress or getting things moving are all represented by that water energy so the three Harmony the pig combines with the rabbit and the goat and this creates energy of wood which helps with growth and expansion it also uh means you need to be adaptable and flexible learn new skills or take up a new hobby it can uh represent Innovation and forward thinking to put you ahead in your field or make your life or your job a little bit easier so just kind of that thinking of how you can get ahead you know work smarter not harder type energy uh moving forward with projects and ideas and collaborating with others because the wood energy does represent connection think of you know tree branches or Roots under the ground the combo of six or the secret friend of course is the tiger this tiger Pig combination does create a nurturing and harmonious relationship also represented uh by the energy of wood use the energy to ask for help when you need it since it does represent connections it represents that people will be available to help you this month look for opportunities to grow and expand use the momentum to make progress and problem solve and troubleshoot remember the pig clashes with the snake so the snake is the clashing energy for November but remember when you have a Clash uh you can actually use this to be like a catalyst for change you can also use it to do things like travel maybe you just have unexpected trip come up maybe you're working more this month and you're having to travel for that but remember we're also traveling for Thanksgiving so perhaps it's something like that uh managing emotions and processing your feelings will help and of course sharing those with others you can use the area in your home and that function way energy to take some of this energy away take the clashing energy away so remember the three harmony with the snake is the rooster and Ox we can't use the rooster which is that West energy you know it governs the West area of our home but we can use the northeast or the ox sector of home to take away this clashing energy and combine with the snake a little more grounding energy there also with that Earth in the Northeast for the month can also help you just kind of navigate the energies well speaking of a fun let's look at our monthly flying stars for November and see where the best sectors are we do have a little bit of an interesting energy for the month when it comes to the fun in November all the stars return to their home base or their original location and this can actually bring out positive energies in the stars that are usually considered to be negative starting with the best sectors here remember you don't have to use every single one of these sectors you just kind of match it up to your goal or what you want to do for the month and you find that supporting Flying Star that matches your goal so for example here Flying Star number one we're looking at the authority star it does go back to the north and it combines with a yearly wealth star so you can use this sector to fill out work gain employment applications even push yourself forward a little bit in your job you know working in the sector studying movement or a fan or water activation can be beneficial too and if you're a qu one work rated training or wealth opportunities may present themselves this month you may find yourself a little bit busier or getting hands on experience so it should be quite a good month uh use that North sector and just position yourself there to work or put in those job applications like I mentioned Flying Star number six select star does go back to its original location in the North West so it is great for anyone who's in management or leadership position remember it's a 64 combo uh the four is there for the year it does indicate being seen as an authority in your field and also supports academic and learning or studying for a placement exam or promotion so you can definitely use energy to study in uh all year really but this month if you need a boost or if you're studying again for something that takes you to upper management position someone like that you can use that you can just enhance it by working in the sector fan activation or of course a movement in the area and if you're guic taking care of your mental health you may feel a little bit of pressure being the person everyone relies on so don't forget to ask for help when needed the star everybody likes is next Flying Star number eight does go to the Northeast and of course that's called The Wealth star star number eight combining with the yearly star six can bring Authority and money opportunity usually this means stepping up to responsibility so again being busy doesn't always mean you make more money do be careful that you do get compensated for your time sometimes it does mean putting more hours in at work especially if you are a management position or leadership position so you can enhance it by just working in the sector obviously just using it course fan activation works also um gu 8 the start eight of course represents oldfashioned hard work slow and steady gains so keep pushing through and try to wrap up any holiday workload so you can enjoy some time off that would be my advice to the GU 8 flying start number nine spiritual and happiness star goes back to the South and so when it goes back home here it does actually clash with the metal for the yearly energy which is the star seven so you don't really need to do much to enhance the sector but the added fire energy can just help add some joint inspiration for the month you don't really need to enhance it I wouldn't put an activation there or honestly spend too much time here but the thing is you don't really have to worry too much about it don't activate it uh you can kind of just ignore this area here um but if you are a guanine a motherdaughter relationships can be tense with this energy so try and let go a little bit and do some emotional work if needed especially around these holidays you know um of course we tend to visit family and some of those family relationships are a little bit tense so just let things go if you are a Guan n especially um if you are the controlling one let things go a little bit enjoy your holiday okay the challenging sectors for the month areas we're going to need to a cure and when we talk about cure we're really just talking about putting a saltwater cure up if you have a traditional cure you'd like to use you know a charm with six coins other various adjustments use your favorite cure some of them include like like the wulu gourds or uh just different little statues go ahead and use those I don't put everything because there as many you can use I personally don't use too much other than putting a little bit of metal or a saltwater cure in the areas that we spend the most time in you know we don't have to overdo it and put cure everywhere if your front door is located in one of these sectors or if your bedroom is here then you'd want to consider putting a little cure in okay starting first with Flying Star number two the illness star does go to the Southwest this is a time where it can exhibit a little bit of a neutral Behavior or even a positive behavior that can be used for assets or wealth you know um accum accumulation I suppose because it does represent that Yen Earth which is if you do real estate could represent accumulating some of those assets um it can definitely indicate illness though so you shouldn't spend too much time here uh again if it's your bedroom or something like that you're GNA wan to put a little bit of a cure there particularly if you're a female you might want to put a saltwater cure if you sleep here or if you're a guat to so if you're a guu just take care of your health of course be cautious of being too aggressive for fighting among household members because that yearly star nine is in a sector and it feeds that Earth again just indicating extra illness or a little bit of aggressive behavior just because it's that fire energy okay uh Flying Star three Corel some star star does go to the east so remember it is kind of famous for causing arguments or aggressive behavior in a combination of the energy isn't really truly negative but of course your temper is always an issue when the star three appears um yeah just spend less time in the sector and you could place a preferred cure item here which I don't really think is completely necessary so if you're a GU 3 just watch your temper and let go of the need to argue you does create the argumentative energy U more along the lines of like wanting to fight and really be aggressive so it's an aggressive type energy I do watch your finances this month it could lead to disputes over money so be cautious of that Flying Star Number Four The Academy star is usually one we consider pretty positive but it goes to the southeast to the GU 4 and so again it just joins that yearly star to make it it unusable illness is usually an issue if you sleep there the South sector uh should just be kept quiet uh do be careful of kidney related issues if you sleep here and just keep your sector quiet um also I do believe liver issues if you're a sleeping here so yeah just put a salt cure if you prefer and honestly you can leave that up until February because again the illness energy is just there for the entire year and it's aggravated sometimes by uh the energies like last last month last month would have been a particularly negative month to be sleeping there but this month not as much okay Flying Star number five called the disaster star does go to the center this is a time where it's actually considered to be trapped when it returns here so it's said to exhibit more positive effects when it quote unquote kind of returns home so to me it just seems like we may might get a little bit of a break or reprieve from some of the harsher or more challenging energies that we have faced this year so we'll just see how the month goes kind of sets the tone and that five star is sometimes called the emperor star so not really particularly negative um I've heard it compared to before a volcano it is a Earth Energy but remember a volcano can be very destructive it can completely destroy anything in its path but when that lava cools it's some of the most fertile ground on Earth kind of take that as you will and just realize that not everything is good hard bad um we'll just kind of see where the energy takes us for the month I guess blank star number seven legal IND dispute star in the west so it does join the yearly five star indicating some skin related illnesses like cold sores eczema um it can also mean respiratory issues like asthma and upper respiratory viruses so do you be cautious of that for the month wear your masks if you're having a Resurgence of those rep respiratory viruses you might want to consider covering up there just mitigated by putting a SL water cure or preferred item if you're bedroom's here and of course keeping that sector quiet for the rest of the year in addition gu 7 just kind of same thing I talked about a minute ago just be careful also of gossiping and rumor so that can be something added to the GU sens in addition to the uh illnesses that I mentioned uh previously and of course no renovation sectors for the uh for the month here remember we do have some areas we don't want to dig for the year and the month you want to avoid digging and major Renovations because this can trigger an energy of the earth Shaw okay it does affect the earth when you dig or renovate and of course for the month here we're just looking at the monthly Grand dukee area which is the pig that's the Northwest and right across from it there is is the uh month breaker the soy Po and of course also the disaster shot and the five tiger Shaw for the year in the Southeast so we're definitely going to avoid Renovations in the Southeast and of course just for the year the South the Southwest um you know are the areas we want to avoid and the five yellow Flying Star does stay of course in that uh West sector for the rest of the year so we're going to avoid Renovations there remember remember some of these energies can be mitigated and it'll be quite fine to renovate but you have to use date selection that is specific to your home and that is best done when you consult a funu professional that does date time selection for renovations um I do that if you which I'm going to cover next week when we talk about balancing the five elements for your funu Feast I'm going to cover some of this managing stress around the holidays and staying healthy so we'll look a little bit at that I do have a lucky dates section on the uh website here on the newsletter and you know those lucky dates really are just kind of like they help you line specific activities to boost your chances of success that's the only way I can really describe it it is based on the tongu Chinese Almanac and you can personalize it based on your zodiac signs also if you don't know how to do that there's a little guide up there it kind of explains but honestly just picking dates that align with the activities to give you a boost are super helpful and I Do cover things like business and finance home and funu adjust adjustments Health social relationships and education and personal growth there's dates for everything on there you want a good date to host a uh a dinner maybe you don't want to host it on Thanksgiving November 17th and 29th is a good day in addition in addition to that it's a rooster day um so the rooster energy really is about being social and having fun that relationship type energy is about talking and communication and the open day is good for like a housew party or opening your home to others you want to have a a date where you celebrate your holidays you know heck pick an open day right so it can kind of help guide you that way it has different dates in there that support whatever activity you want to do for the month well thanks for joining me yourself and reconnecting with your goals and just kind of relaxing and unwinding as we approach the Year's End make the most of November's supportive energy by really making time for rest nurturing your home environment and strengthening those relationships that lift you up just stay mindful of these themes As you move through the month next week we're going to be talking about how to kind of functua your Thanksgiving with Foods we'll be balancing the five elements here for your Thanksgiving feast and one of the ones I'm really excited to do I'm not going to have a book of the month this month I I would discontinue that until February because I don't know that I'll have time to sit and read we're going to be diving into the next year's energies as soon as January hits but before that I thought it would be really cool to look at the land form around weird phenomena or places that have strange weird phenomena at a high rate I'm really excited to look forward to that doing the research already and it should be a really good interesting episode I didn't really get to do a a Halloween episode like I wanted to so I think that'll be interesting Funway of contage geography all
