Feng Shui Tips for the Year of the Wood Snake

hand we're going to be looking at the flu of your home for the year of the wood snake according to last week's episode that has not officially started although we do feel the energy kind of Shifting already I'll also be covering not only how to align your space for success and harmony for the upcoming year but also kind of this tone of the wood snake we're going to look at societal impacts that it can have and some of the natural phenomenon associated with the wood snake like weather we're going to look at the flying stars and no renovation sectors and talk about what we can do with that so let's get ready to set the foundation for a balanced and prosperous 2025 let's get into it coming to you from learnfengshui.com l e a r n f n g shi.com the website huh latest blog post imagine that you're of the wood snake 2025 your complete guide to all the energ and all the info you need um yeah go check that out on the website year of the wood snake begins around February 3rd 2025 and ends around February 3rd 2026 the Lunar New Year is not when that official shift happens although it's kind of a gradual shift from the winter solstice around December 21st or so up until even seven days after the solar New Year which would be around February 10th so February 10th everything shifted in remember it's not really like you flip the page or you change a channel on the energy it kind of shifts in there's different energies that shift in for more information you can actually listen to last week's episode where I talk about which energy shift and when all that occurs knowing when these energy shift will help you understand how and when to set the Funway for your home I tell you that because you can start making these changes pretty much anytime even though the Stars don't officially shift if you're feeling the impact of them and we'll talk about the sectors are going to land in here in a minute if you have a bedroom there if you have a front door there you might want to put in your cures a little bit ahead of time before that New Year shifts in all the way we'll start first looking at the tone for the year and I usually use what is called the hexagram or the yijing hexagram that represents the wood snake in this case it is the hexagram number five which is called waiting and it's basically called rain from heaven so what do you do when it rains you wait for it to stop raining in most cases right uh so the wood Snake theme may show us a need to be patient or wait and see rather than trying to force things to happen I compare this to being pregnant so I have three kids and with each of my pregnancies I was given a due date and um I had my natural so they weren't scheduled C-sections so when you have a schedule C-section you know when you're going to go and have that baby although doctors still can have you waiting a lot of the time so pretty much the same thing when you deliver naturally when you go to labor naturally you're not induced it's really just about waiting to see and you just sit and you wait and you wait and you wait and even when you go into labor you wait you wait and you wait and you don't know when things is actually going to happen but during that meantime you do make the necessary preparations right you've built your crib you've got little diapers ready you you know get the bottles and you maybe have a baby shower so you're prepared for that right timing so same thing here you're going to want to prepare for whatever you're waiting for there may be some setbacks it may be just a thing of you're sitting waiting for things to happen but it's just a matter when it's go time right the doctor tells you to push looking at the societal impact of the wood snake the last year of the wood snake was 1965 it was 60 years ago and the last year of the wood snake saw significant social changed a lot of civil unrest at least here in the United States there was anti-war protests and I do think those were worldwide of course the Vietnam situation was uh in the midst and there was a rise of feminism so there was a lot of this social Uprising this demand for equality um it was when the Equal Rights Voting Act was passed here in the us giving people of color the ability to finally have their voice heard on the political front and so same type of thing this year you know we may see a rise in special interest groups I already feel like I see a divide in socioeconomics where in the past people have really liked to see say maybe the Kardashians they really liked seeing their lavish lifestyle and how this other half of America lives right uh people aren't want to see that anymore they're saying you know what we don't really like seeing you flaunt your your wealth you know so um nothing wrong with being wealthy I don't think but you might want to keep that a little bit quieter if that you know you fall into that category don't flaunt it around because they really is a big divide in the socioeconomic uh societies right now so I think we're going to see that more class Consciousness and a demand to be heard from special interest groups looking at the weather and climate you know I did didn't actually find a whole lot from the weather climate front but I did see that last year of the wood snake a lot of tornado and hurricane very active in those Seasons very active along the southern coast of the US and like uh Texas the the coast there like Houston balmont area the uh coast of Louisiana so colder and wetter uh there's also a very active tornado season that year impacting mostly the Midwest area next winter we might be looking still at the colder winter in the North and the drier and warmer in the South although I will say it's freezing here in Texas we've had temperatures below the teens and the fahrenheit so it's been actually pretty cold here and um usually places that don't get very cold like Corpus chrisy along the coast have actually gotten pretty pretty cold over the past week or so so even though that linia weather trend is expected to show up up until next winter and that's what I'm basing this on um it'll still probably be a little bit warmer winter than we've seen previously um I will say up until this point the weather was really nice up until I think January when we passed that solar term of lesser cold and we really noticed those temperatures dip down which is pretty usual again that is the coldest part of the year is those 23rd and 24th solar terms so that's kind of to be expected all right well let's look at the flung for the year and check out these flying stars what sectors are the best and which sectors we need to maybe Place some cures in or avoid spinning time in what are flying stars before we get into all this other information what's a Flying Star a Flying Star is actually just a system that tracks the yearly movement of nine different types of energy or Chi across your home so each star influences areas like your wealth or your health or your relationships and some can present challenges the positions of the Stars will reset annually with the solar New Year which begins on Lee June around February 3rd or 4th uh adjustments can be made ahead of time because these energies do start to shift remember they start to shift to Winter soles like we just talked about and this reset creates a new energetic blueprint or pattern for your home that can require adjustments to your space to be made so that it aligns with a Year's energy this is done by placing out what are called cures that help neutralize negative Stars while enhancements can activate positive ones ensuring that your home support your goals and well-being throughout the year and remember I do offer the free energy mapping and this I'll section out the sectors for you helps you evaluate these sectors you can place is where the ne negative stars are and then activate the positive stars and you don't have to activate or cure everything by matching your actions and goals to the energy of the particular area you can actually work with the flow instead of against it for example if the area has a success energy like a successful energy say the Southwest will receive the eight star which is called the wealth star that means that if you are looking for a job if you looking for more work more work hour stuff like that you can activate the area or spend more time in it say it's like the West for the year which supports academics you can use it if you are trying to study and learn a new subject we're going to talk about which sector receives which energy also so no worries let's look at the positive sectors and areas that you can use this year but first let's look at what activation means okay so it means you can use the area spend time there work in the sector and we'll talk about which specific things can be done in each sector where we're going through that uh activation could be a lamp or lighting so you just pretty much leave a light on throughout the the year a sound or noise activation can be done by putting a little Bluetooth speaker or a little radio in the area you can actively study your take online classes in that sector you can do a water activation in some sectors I wouldn't put it in every sector but I'll outline that for you and that's outlined also in that blog post that I'm linking below the one I'm reading from here a fan or movement in the area flying stars are activated by movement so you can declutter and move furniture around and that will activate the area too but you do want a constant buildup of chi so honestly I usually use a fan or a little speaker radio um you can also use a candle activations in some sectors so the water and the candle are only used in specific sectors because you have to be careful with fire and water so this do have some specific guidelines according to fun um we're not going to talk about that we're just going to talk about when and where they can be used we'll we'll leave the why uh for you know I don't know ask me and I'll tell you okay it can be complex let's start out flying store number eight the wer speaking of that uh this is the area you can place a lamp you can put water it's actually really good for a little water activation the uh number two of Southwest wall is a really good place to place water especially for accumulating assets working in the area and placing a fan or radio there works perfectly well too so the energy that's there is used to create more work and bring in more contracts if you're looking for work you can use the sector to put in job applications or sit there when you conduct a remote interview the Southwest again can also be used to acquire and accumulate assets especially when that eight well star is there it can make you pretty busy okay if you activate it and you say are a stay-at-home mom you will just be busier with housework it only amplifies your actions so the Year may actually be quite busy for you if you're a guat too be careful about weight gain I think I spelled that wrong I notic in the newsletter I put we gain but that's your weight especially around the midsection this may come from eating fast foods on the account of just being busier so do find a time to do some meal prep and get some movement in try not to be too stagnant this area of represents since your midsection or your stomach and the eight since about accumulation can indicate just that waking around the midsection he can also enhance it just by working in the sector studying movement fan or water activation Flying Star Number Four The Academy star goes to the West so finally we're able to use our West sector and that's gu 7 after the year of that Flying Star 5 being in there and making a little bit of a challenge there for the year um this is my bedroom I haven't had any challenge um my husband's had a little high blood pressure and so you may have noticed something like that last year if you spent a lot of time in the west Flying Star number four gives a gentler energy and of course academic achievement and learning accompany the star four and this star can be used also to Aiden health problems so sit here or store medicine in the sector it's called Heavenly ye and also represents medicine so it can help with that if you've been feeling sick there's faster ways though um which would be using your personal best Direction called The Heavenly doctor so if you want to know more about that you can shoot me a message but there's faster ways um this is a little bit slower way but you can spend time in the sector that's quite fine if you're a GU 7 this can bring some jealousy or arguing for the female gu sevens remember the uh star 4 and the star seven they're both feminine energy if you're a GU 7 this could bring some jealousy or arguing for the female gu seven so remember it's like soft metal and soft wood or like a plant um so very soft feminine energies try not to explain yourself and keep your emotions in check gu sens tend to be a little more vocal and mostly it's just talking so don't do that too much this month uh you can enhance it by using the sector to study do research place a fan activation I wouldn't put water there but you can definitely use area the South it's the six luxar so gu n here the six luxar brings the energy of success especially people in management or if you have a downline if you're a boss or business owner you can benefit from using the South sector this year sit here to delegate tasks conduct interviews if you're the hiring manager you can hold remote meetings here business negotiation and talks of Market expansion is favorable for you to use the South sector in if you're a guanine be cautious of heart issues are over stressing so watch your blood pressure and uh take some walks do some deep breathing or practice chiong Tai Chi Yoga something that helps you lower that blood pressure I know these are all very good for just that slow breathing you are very mindful during this time and you kind of get out of yourself into the state when you're just trying to remember your poses and whatnot I've talked about the fact I do some ARA yoga SL Pilates type exercises and I think that keeps my blood pressure low because it is actually very low than that crazy I thought I would have some kind of issues but I guess I'm just not genetically predisposed so thank God for that okay um yeah it could indicate some heart issues because the 69 combination is a combination called fire burning the Heavenly heart so again just be careful about your heart this year spending time in the sector and doing the aforementioned activities there can help uh lamps lighting candles fans or radio prayer candles are just fine spending time in the sector doing the activities or actions that I afor mentioned is great uh is the area where you can place candles so just be careful when you're burning those uh Flying Star number nine the happiness star goes to the east gu 3 the nine brings luck and joy occasions to the E sector good for younger children that spend time there so it can Aid them in being well-liked and having a easier social year a GU 3 can enjoy the energy of inspiration happiness and seek spiritual fulfillment inner peace for the year it's really good for that um yeah it's it's is quite good you can work in the sector um have your children spend time there fan activation uh I wouldn't put water there because you do want to avoid activating what it's called the three killings uh water won't actually activate that according to my school of belief it's usually just renovation so it's the sector you want to avoid Renovations in for the entire year it has a little bit of a fierce energy called also the wui or the five tiger Shaw and uh so if you are sitting in the sector and you're using the sector it's quite fine if you don't uh start digging and doing renovations and if you are above ground level you're quite safe because you avoid those energies these energies are called Earth energies they only impact the ground floor a space so if you're second floor above or live in an apartment that's above ground level you don't have to worry about these uh energies here one thing you do need to do and I didn't put it on the newsletter so this is a listener exclusive there is a saying that says if you face the three killings it brings you like riches and power it's somewhere along those lines so basically you can face East for the year no matter what sector you're sitting in remember um the energies can still impact you in certain ways if you maybe sit or face a specific Direction so you can face East if you have your furniture position uh where it's like a East West you might want to swap it around and face the East uh this brings me to my next point you want to avoid facing Southeast so the Grand Duke of the year the taoy which is the energy that governs the year goes to the southeast it's accompanied by Flying Star number one called The Authority star it's quite good for the year um this is a zector you can also place a little bit of water here uh if you want romance and I didn't put this in a newsletter either so listener exclusive here too if you want a little romance for the Year this is actually a sector you could place a vase of water with a flowering plant so if you uh have something like a water lily or something like that this can actually help bring a little bit of love and romance for the year a little Pro tip there so star number one shifts here brings the nurturing water energy to the palace and uh it can be used for career advancement also it just depends on your goal for the year uh be sure to avoid facing the directions of Southeast where the snake where the energy governing the year occupies this is around 142.5 to 157.5 degrees Southeast no matter where you're at your home and you're realizing that you're facing Southeast in one of your chairs or something you can kind of whip out your compass and if it doesn't face those specific directions again I have this on the website so you can look um then you might want to shift it over there's another saying that you can offend the Grand Duke by facing him and please him by sitting with your back Chum also um this will help also help you avoid health problems and problems with superiors that can accompany that energy that's called offending their Grand Duke I kind of liken it to that old Trope in the in a movie say where the uh Prince or the queen or something passes by you're not supposed to look at them right you're not supposed to stare at them you're supposed to divert your eyes or your gaze or whatever you're not supposed to make eye contact kind of the same thing um it's the superior and again it can Pro it can cause problems with uh like if you're management or your company um you don't want to have problems like that so avoid offending the Grand Duke this year uh details on the website go four this year may go fast for you too so take advantage of the progress that seems to be pushing you this year you'll start to see movement in areas of your life that felt stagnant so enjoy the progression although you might be uh busy and go pretty fast because that one star represents motion movement and forward growth well those were all the best sectors and the thing about flying stars is there's actually more positive flying stars than there are negative and there's actually a couple neutral the only real ugly negative Stars we want to watch out for is the two and the five good news the two star we don't need to worry about this year and we'll talk about that here um the negative impact of flying stars can be lessened by placing what it's called a cure by using an item color spending less time in the sector avoid moving furniture and just generally keeping the sector quiet cures can include a saltwater cure a charm with six or seven coins or other various adjustments to the sectors metal weights and Decor or items can be used to suppress the five star and just avoid using the areas for working if possible uh is sleeping and if it's your front door you'll really want to place SEC uh a cure there and if it is your bedroom you'll want to place secure other than that to spend less time there oh your kitchen too yeah do your kitchen starting with Flying Star number two it goes to the center um the star number two is trapped there so I don't think it'll cause a lot of issues as far as going to the guad we have to worry of course still the monthly twar that can travel around doesn't really need curing but it does set the tone for the year it's also warns us to be cautious of our health and indicates possible outbreaks of illness flu strains or bad cold and flu Seasons covid cases might be back up on the rise so just take some precautions wash your hands wear the masks and do all the things that we were taught in you know 2020 not too big a deal Flying Star three goes to the Northwest the energy of three conflict star can be neutral depending on where it lands but landing in the Northwest is a little bit challenging because it's a metal wood Clash a metal does control the wood so it might not cause too many issues and it can actually be used for people or kids who play competitive Sports you could practice or work out here and um the head of the household should control their temper be careful of accents especially physical accidents and you can mitigate it really just by spending less time here being self-aware do anger management or some practicing self-control walk away from situations that could turn physical and just generally be careful cuz sometimes that can represent accidents be cautious if you spend a lot of time here or if you're a GU 6 hands down the most challenging sector of the year is the Northeast with Flying Star five goes It's called The Disaster star even sometimes the Flying Star 5 can be neutral can exhibit good qualities but in this case it could be a little bit volatile this year because we do get those Earth Shaws or wui sha and the three killings which can cause issues of activated by Ren ations really you can just mitigate this by placing out your salt jar uh weights metal weights you can just slip under Furniture you can spend less time here and of course no renovations in the sector for the entire year if you are a GU 8 be cautious of issues at work and accidents the five star can be neutral again if you're a gu8 be cautious of issues at work and you also want to be careful of accidents sometimes it can cause issues with money watch your money matters keep positive attitude and spend wisely this year Flying Star number seven the legal and dispute star goes to gu one in the north uh the seven star is fueled by the water of the north sector or Palace the energy can bring disputes leading to legal issues lawsuits from glossip and slander arguing of pettiness crap talking are all attributes of the Seven Stars showing a negative side on the positive side it does support networking like taking clients out for a meal or drinks think shooing clients by taking them out for a night of karaoke and drinking so it could be good for that you know remember your choices and actions determine what outcome you get if you're a GU one just be careful of indulging in vices like drinking too much staying out late and be mindful of what you say you do have a chance to get your message out there but be careful that things aren't taken out of context and you can just mitigate it by spending less time in the sector not really a need to cure there remember that also has the five tiger Shaw it's actually affecting um more sectors this year and that can cause issues just spend less time there I think we don't want to create fear around these uh flying stars either but if we can spend time in the best energies and we can avoid spending time in some of the ugly energies you know knowing they they can cause problems that's what we can do but every year somebody's going to get the worst Flying Star at their door or in their bedrooms so don't panic um I've also heard it said that established uh CH or energy patterns where somebody's been using the sector already youer to been sleeping there or you eat there all the time or you cook there in your kitchen you're not changing the energy in the space I think we can create a lot of fear around what to use what not to use but don't start using a sector you've never used before that has a negative energy there if that makes sense let's look at the no renovation sectors and areas is we're going to want to avoid Renovations for the year if you're looking at your home this year and thinking you need a little renovation or plan to start Renovations you might want to consider starting in an area that has really positive energy so although flying stars are positive we need to avoid Renovations and heavy digging to avoid activating what is called the Earth Shaws otherwise these energies might not impact you basically anything Northwest North North east east and Southeast need to be avoided in the renovation areas so um I mean that's pretty much about it you have the five tiger Shaw which uh can cause a lot of issues and it's hard to remedy but then you also have what it's called the three killings it won't kill you but it can cause a lot of setbacks issues accidents or even Financial loss so you want to of course avoid that you you don't want to do that um you know so I would say avoid Renovations in the sectors if you can so if something can't be avoided shoot me a message and if you're like hey you know I would definitely uh avoid Renovations in the Northeast and the East 100% this year I would not do Renovations there um to avoid activating that uh that energy there but some areas of the southeast the North and the Northwest can be uh renovated in but just shoot me a message I can tell you um kind of depends but we can do date and time selection specific to your home and uh get some renovation started for you if you 100% need to do them but if it's just an elective thing then you don't really need to worry about it uh just wait until 2026 when the energies shift uh yeah and that's about it just another layer to add onto your Funway again if you're starting renovations um if you're starting above the ground floor you don't have to worry about it uh in some aspects but if you don't really know just shoot me a message and we can talk about areas
