Year of the Horse- Yearly Energy Update

Hey guys, welcome to the Learn Feng Shui podcast. where ancient tradition meets modern living in each week. I'll cover a different aspect of Feng Shui or Chinese metaphysics. I'm Candice Berlanga Certified Feng Shui Practitioner. And today we're going to be talking about the year of the fire horse 2026.

So when does it start? What are we going to expect from the year tone societal shift, weather and climate? And lastly, we're going to look at Feng Shui for the year. We're going to be flying stars and the sectors you're going to want to avoid renovation. And all right, let's get into it.

Fire Horse begins February 3, 2026 and ends February 3, 2027. And those are approximate, you know, energy just doesn't come in. We've talked about previous episodes that the lunar new year is different from the solar new year. And why is that? Well, solar new year, it goes on the solar calendar solar term in the earth's position away from the sun.

And the lunar new year is such a arrive when the second new moon following. The winter solstice arrives. It goes for 15 days until the second full moon of the year. That would put the lunar new year on February 17th this year. We'll see the news.

So the accident come in before the lunar new year. A lot of people think it's the same, but that winter solstice also energy starts shifting. Then we get the actual changing of the year, 2026. And then we get the either lunar or solar new year. Right.

So, tone for the year, 2026. We're going to look at the eating hexagram. 28 is greater exceeding. I wrote here, newsletter on substach. When we look at the hexagram, greater exceeding, it kind of means the pressure is built up so high that we can't maintain that status quo any longer.

So structures, habits and situations that were stable may feel stretched to their limits. And I think we feel this in a lot of ways. Society financially. Just, you know, through our government, what we're seeing, you know, our things looking up what really is happening. I'm kind of one to think this smoke screens and flexing here so you can look in a different direction.

You know, I'm one that kind of thinks that so I trust no one in no political parties here. But Joey App traditionally, Eugene workbook says the guac contains forying into again, symbolizes that wood is submerged by swamp water. This is indeed a normal and rare phenomenon, but again, brave, honorable and independent people are also already in the world. It basically emphasizes that such individuals will never be forgotten or find their lives meaningless once they have retired from the public eye. So it is not being able to handle pressure over promising and under delivering and not being able to move forward or back.

So in many ways, we might feel this is a society this year, but when that happens, action can help us navigate this energy. It also offers an opportunity to release what no longer serves you and rebuild stronger foundations. That's what I put in the newsletter here again linked in the show notes. What is this going to mean for society? The year of the horse prediction here.

Firehorse is known for its abevil and bullshifft, but my function master master Jensen go he does talk about this. He does tie E world predictions. One of the things he talked about was more stable year this year. Sometimes we can look back at the last year of the fire horse which was 1966 and had a lot of major societal change midterm elections. Of course, they are going to go the opposite way.

If we are politically heavy in a certain area, it will flip the other way a little bit. That's just part of nature, part of a cycle. And while history can repeat itself and kind of echo itself. I mean, I know we start out with a bang, right? Maybe it's just me being hopeful, but I'm kind of thinking that things will be a little more level.

It does point to more level and steady financial a call that I meant the financial and economic side of things, not just in the US, but globally. We've seen a little bit of declining gas prices, depending where you are in the country. And housing rates also are dropping a little bit. And housing prices are said to be able to be dropping to some of that over building. I think we I see it a lot here and I thought that was just my part of where I'm at in Texas, but I don't think so.

I think they're over building everywhere. And I think that also it's one of those things again, also the pressure can't it can't sustain that much building when there's not enough people really going, right? It's not a thing where people are moving to my city, but a thing of people were moving out of the central part of our city moving to the outskirts and in these new home builds because it's just better prices, better incentives and lower interest rates for new builds. But that's just the real estate investor part of me talking anyhow, we are seeing seeing this. I'm hoping we'll be seeing it with traditional homelands also just housing rates being a little bit more affordable.

Remember that out of that period nine, one of the topics that I covered was the housing market. And why that is right now really energetically we can look at it that we moved out of this period of stability with that period eight in 2023 that shift. That it that also represented the real estate market and long term investments and when that was shifted and taken away by this fire energy, which that period nine came in, we started seeing those high interest rates, the unstable real estate market and stuff like that. So it's just really a part of that period nine energy, but again, may stabilize a little bit more this year. So also put in here history may echo, but doesn't have to repeat this fire horse points to more corrective than outright disruption.

But again, we will see because damn if I don't make predictions, I never really know because I don't know maybe there's a human component in there to maybe I'm biased and try to look at the bright side of things. Whether in climate, so looking back in the past year, the fire horse extreme weather often stood out in 66 US experience major wildfires and severe small events will in 86. That wasn't a fire horse year produce a year deadly hail storms in South Asia, 10, 6 broad intense heat waves droughts and flooding in North America. So the extremes may echo that high energy unpredictable nature of that fire horse. Just reminding us to stay adaptable in 2026.

All right, well, those are predictions again for the year, the fire horse again, let's just recess right reevaluate and correct our course and see how that goes this year. I'm looking forward to at least starting, you know, the once a month email again, there is the link to the sub stack and that is for sure already up got put up last week. So now let's get into the fun show and flying stars for the year of the horse. We're going to look at when and how to set up the fun show in your home. All right guys, fun show for year of the horse.

What can we do to set our home up and position ourself for success. So first off, water flying stars, if you're new here, flying stars has a system that tracks the yearly movement of nine types of energy or tea across your home. And that's Chi not cheese. Q, I, Chi, life force, each star influences area like wealth, health relationships and it can present challenges to a position of the stars reset annually with the soldier new year, which begins on February 4th, 3rd or so, but adjustments can be made now, you know, you can reset your home now. Everyone's kind of winding down from Christmas and maybe you have empty space in the middle of your living room like me.

The reset can create a new energetic blueprint that requires adjustments to your space to align your energy with this year's energy. But you can place cures to help neutralize negative stars while enhancements can activate positive energy ensuring your home supports your goals. So being throughout the year, so evaluate your home sectors use a compass map with a directions on your home to identify where each star lands. You can place cures for negative stars neutralize harmful ones like five yellow with metal elements like 67 coins tied on a string salt cures or even metal decor. Then you can activate the positive ones you can boost all species stars like the eight well star with water features red colors bright lighting or spending time in using the sector, re-arranging your furniture and adjusting your room.

So honestly, you can declutter clean, like handles put a fan there and we'll talk about that with each sector. But anything that moves constantly is moving that energy around and activating the area. Okay, timing does matter. Place your cures and enhancements around the time of the yearly around the shift of the yearly energies. But energies do start moving before the year shifts on February.

So you'll be hearing this right around the 20 second of January. So you got a couple weeks to get that done. But if you don't hear this before, then it's okay. You can still do that going into the year. Okay.

Don't start moving around a lot of stuff and let's not be scared of some of these energies. Okay, I just have good dates on the website to do some of these function adjustments and cures, but there's no good dates in February. So just do as needed. Okay, looking into the positive stars for the year. Remember, you don't have to activate or cure every sector.

Just look at your goal and match the supporting flying star to your goal. So you can use it as described for desired results. So again, use the eight star to get more work. Okay, so let's talk about that. Best sectors flying stars.

One, four, six, eight, and nine are usually consider positive. These sectors for the entire year. Use the sector for the entire year to boost the action. You can also place an activation in these sectors. So remember, function activations, meaning move the energy in the area, radio, fan aquarium lighting candles and moving objects.

Or by using the sector just for working, studying, you can clean and declutter as I just said. Do be careful where you place water and candles because you don't want a clash in the elements. So let's take a look at that. Starting with flying star number one, starting with flying star number one. This is the flying star that goes to center and remember this actually sets the energetic tone for the year.

So it's not a sector you can like activate or cure according to my school of thought. Remember, if you've learned something else, not it's not wrong. It's just different. Okay, everybody practices different. And if it's working for you, then it works for you.

Okay, flying star number one here of the horse again sets the tone. And the star carries water energy. The star carries water energy bring emotion flow and shifts into the lot into your life. The star carries water energy bring emotion flow and subtle shifts into your life. Over the year, you may notice things moving more swiftly behind the scenes.

You know, a little bit faster than last year last year. It was a little disdagnet. Even though we have that energy where things don't move at greater exceeding energy. This start could help move things along. It encourages adaptability and awareness reminding us to move with the current reminding us to move the current rather than pushing against it.

Stay mindful is energy can help you take advantage of the momentum. We may feel globally this year. Stay mindful can help us take advantage of this momentum. So just stay mindful, you know, knowing things can quickly shift this year. And just being adaptable every time I see the water, I just think that recently it be like water quote.

So it's like water being adaptable. All right, flying star number nine goes to go for in the southeast. Flying star number nine goes to the go for in the southeast prosperity star. So prosperity celebration and recognition here in the southeast sector. So you can use it.

You can activate it. It enhances opportunities for growth, networking and creative expression. It's energy brings momentum to projects and relationships supports long term success and positive developments and also can help with your reputation and recognition like I kind of mentioned. You can enhance it just by spending time here when working on creative projects, social connections and personal goals so you can use the area for activities like writing, brainstorming or connecting with others can help the flow of energy and manifest opportunity and recognition for you. Again, you can just use that.

You can activate with a fan and I wouldn't activate with water because remember nine is a fire energy. So fire star. So we don't want to put water in an activate the fire with it. It won't really activate it. It will kind of clash elemently.

You know, it'll take it away. So we don't want to do that. We don't want to subdue the fire star. We want to build on it. You know, using the sector, putting a fan radio, something that moves around like that is perfect.

Light, lamping, light lighting or a lamp can also help too. All right. Flying star number six. The luck star goes to the North and Gual 1. Flying star number six can bring you support, authority and opportunities through guidance or mentorship.

It's energy favors career advancement and recognition also this luck star. It's a more of like promotion type recognition. So if you want to promotion, you can use this area or you can use that nine in that southeast sector. So they're both pretty good for recognition this year. Again, this is more of a career advancement type thing.

The other ones more of like you want to win an award. Okay. This does offer a steady also. It's just influencer out the year. You can spend time in the North when planning.

We're working on long term goals, incorporate metal elements or symbols of achievement like awards books or a larger books on a desk and focus your work there. You can use a space with purposeful activity like reading, strategizing and organizing you can clean as a good organizing spot to organize some stuff there. One caution you need to watch is that three killings are the sansha that's sitting in the North this year. You want to avoid disturbing the area with construction and digging outside construction inside. You know, don't redo your floors.

It's not a time to redo the area. It's safe and even beneficial to face the direction while sitting they say you can get courage by confronting the three killing so you can sit facing it. So you face North when working or meditating, you know, facing up with the line with the energy. So that's one of those areas this year. You have this sitting and facing shots flying star number eight, the well start goes to the guatry in the east.

It's an auspicious star for wealth accumulation in the east this year brings opportunity for growth and financial stability. If you need a job and you're looking for a job, use the east sector of your home to put an application. The energy sports long term planning investments and steady progress and hard work and personal or professional life. So you can use it for investments also. I just think I just said that.

How to enhance spend time in the some focusing on wealth career or goal setting activate the area with movement lighting sound working planning cleaning and decluttering can help the energy flow. We can move furniture around to the help to activate the area. But I mean, how often you move in that furniture, you know, flying start number four Academy star goes to the northeast to go eight. This is such a better energy than we got last year without five star. The northeast was such a challenging sector for the year.

Flying star for bring scholarly focus energy and creativity. It's a lot more usable this year. It's good for study learning personal growth, supporting clarity of thought and opportunities for insight and thinking. It's a good thinking area. A nice change again from last year.

Enhance it by spending time in the northeast for reading, writing, studying and engaging activities that require focus. Activate the area with movement and purposeful use study. Use it as a study corner, create a project or put your work desk there. Activity helps the space. The activity in the space helps the star flow naturally in support learning and self improvement.

It's a good area for that to study there. Okay, study your schoolwork there. Another question, the three killings is in that sector where the ox is. So that is going to be 22.5 to 37.5 degrees northeast in northeast one. If that means anything to you, okay, avoid major renovations are digging there this year.

Obviously don't dig outside. Don't renovate inside. And you can face the degrees of 22 to 37. In northeast while sitting or working also that's another one you can face. Remember the three killings are supposed to represent robbery, loss and injury.

So we just want to avoid activating that and again those are earth shaws. If you are above ground, second floor and above, these earth shaws will not impact your sector. You only look at flying stars. Okay, that's one of the earth shaws. And we're going to look at the earth shaws at the end.

We're going to look at no renovation sectors. And again, this complete guide is available on my sub stack. I put it up the other day. Okay, flying stars, negative sectors. What can you do to avoid having bad luck for the year?

Well, try to avoid these flying star areas. And if it's in a sector, you use all the time. Then you can place a little cure there. Okay, just maybe spend a little less time there. Even if it's your bedroom or something.

Okay, we can't move bedrooms every year. We can't move stove every year. We can't move our front door. So yeah, flying stars two and five are considered negative. And flying star three and seven can be neutral.

The negative impact of flying stars can be less than my placing. What's called a cure item here. You can use item colors spending less time here and avoid moving furniture too often. So once you set your furniture for the year and these sectors just kind of leave it there and less necessary. But just avoid disturbing the area there.

Cures can include a saltwater cure. I function master master ginsengo that I mentioned earlier. He really dislikes the salt cure. I don't use them very often. Maybe one sectors.

One of his things is that he says is life's already salty enough sometimes. We don't want to make a saltier. So don't like overdo your saltwater cure. Maybe just place your entire sector a little saltwater cure. Maybe one or two sectors that you use the most, but not necessarily to be placed in every part of your home.

You don't got to do all that. Also a charm of six coins or other various adjustments, you know, the woo-woo-goor, the metal to suppress the five star. And just avoid the area of possible. But flying star two in the northwest flies from the center from this year associated with illness and balances in low energy. The northwest this year, the energy calls for mindfulness and resting.

We need it or reminds us to focus on our health while being and caution in daily routines. You can avoid the heavy renovations, loud activity and clutter in the northwest. There is a little bit of three killings and we'll talk about that in just a minute. It's probably one of the more negative sectors for the year. No cures are really needed.

So remember the northwest is the Yang Medal. It's the Yang Medal home base, right? That's where that energy comes from. It's since it's like the guassix that is Yang Medal. So you normally have to place a cure here because the two star is an earth star.

You already have a metal sector. It's controlling it. You know, it's weakening it. So that might not be too big of an issue this. You may be placed a little salt cure, some tips or some of that negative energy.

You do want to, however, avoid two minute, much loud noise, loud activity, renovations, whatnot. Five tiger shot robbery. Shaw both land here in this sector for the year. And that three killings area that pig 322.5 to 337.5 degrees. And then the five tiger, Shaw just lands in that sector.

Keep it quiet, avoid unnecessary activity, renovations and digging. While the flying starts removed by a lot of activity, the three killings doesn't activate it by digging renovations. Five tiger, Shaw is activated by both. So avoid all of that. Okay.

Thanks for our number seven goes to the Southwest. Southwest was a topic for last year, but this year, you know, it can bring some verbal conflict misunderstandings. You know, I get an influence relationship security and financial matters if not handled with care. It's an energy that reminds us to proceed cautiously and be mindful of how we interact with the space. And people around us, if you've had recurring health issues, avoid the sector to keep illness from getting worse.

The seven also is the yen medal represents a knife or scissors, which can represent surgery and cutting. So you don't want to, we have to go into that this year. Just manage it by avoiding the heavy renovations, loud activity, little clutter, my garage is clits my garage. It's cluttered up guys. Maybe I'm going to move that out.

I keep the area calm, tidy and lightly used to minimize negative influences. The earth in the sector can help weaken these stars impact because it's a earth sector with a medal. I didn't put it on here, but little tip for you guys. Y'all can put like clay terracotta. Y'all can put some decor that is, you know, supports the earth.

You can do that and kind of help weaken that metal energy. Little crystals, stones, clay, things like that ceramics. Okay. All right. Flying star number five.

This is the challenging one goes to the south for the year. Flying star traditionally considered a challenging star associated with obstacles unexpected disruptions and even tension. So the south this year signifies the need for caution. The fire of the south of Guanayne can fuel the earth energy of that five stars. So avoid the sector for working spending time here and if possible just avoid unnecessary issues that come with activating that five star.

Avoid heavy renovations and digging here. It has the grand duke also the Thai soy. You can place metal here is generally recommended. But for that five star this year, I would probably prefer a salt care in the sector. Because fire and metal clash each other, you know, the south also hosts the annual grand duke.

So avoid facing the direction while sitting or sleeping. It can't generate health issues, especially in the elderly and disturbed young children. I've seen young children have nightmares suicide idealization when sleeping here, which is pretty disturbing. So if your child is already having some mental health. Depression issues avoid them sleeping in the sector.

Okay, sitting with your back to the grand duke, I said a piece of Thai solar the grand duke allow me to be able to use the energy and it empowers you, you know, it's it's that he protects you if you sit with your back to it. So wherever you sit in your house, try to avoid facing south. No matter what sector you're in, try to avoid that facing direction. Okay. A flying star number three, a Coral Some Star goes to Gwa Seven to the west.

So she had a conflict arguments and misunderstandings usually physical anger, you know, in the west this year, the wood energy start clashes with that metal sector, which can heighten irritation, tension or sharp communication. This is it's arguing and physical fighting keep the area calm and quiet, avoid activating the space with excessive noise or movement. No cure really need it. Just mindfulness to calm the sector. So just keep that all calm.

All right. So looking at the earth shaw again, I remember south, yearly grand duke health problems were problems with superior's can occur. Avoid renovations in these sectors Northeast annual Shaw North is a disaster. Shaw can cause accidents. Also as the year breaker.

And then the Northwest lost Shaw, cause financial loss and that Wu Ji Shaw five tiger Shaw. So those are sectors you're going to 100% want to avoid renovating for the year. Some sectors can be done with date and time selection. And remember that only affects the ground level the departments five star still in the south avoid renovations there. Okay.
