Welcoming the God of Wealth

Hey guys, let's talk about welcoming the God of wealth for the Chinese New Year in this little bonus episode. So welcoming the God of wealth for the New Year. So this typically occurs around the lunar New Year, the Chinese New Year, for each of the 15 days of the lunar New Year, there is different celebrations and different events and foods and everything that take place that are eaten and different rituals that are done. So on the fifth day particularly, you will welcome the God of wealth. So this would occur on the 27th of January.

So as you may know that the lunar New Year or the Chinese New Year is a 15 day celebration from the new moon to the full moon. And typically during these 15 days, each day will be filled with a special event. However, a day is one through four or five are usually the days that are celebrated the most heavily. And on the fifth day, it's usually a day that you can return to the moon. You can return back to work.

That's one way that's used to welcome the God of wealth. So if you happen to live in a country or you celebrate the Chinese New Year and you're taking some time off from work to celebrate, you can return to work back on the fifth day. It's usually customary. So usually when they return back to work, people are reopening. Usually they'll have some sort of reopening ceremony with lion dances and sometimes a little like a mascot or something that is dressed like the God of wealth and they'll exchange red envelopes with them.

So these are typically things that are done for somebody returning back to work. So if you're at home that day, though, typically what you can do is open your doors and windows and welcome in the God of wealth. So that's one way to do it. It is also a day that said that the taboo's from the lunar New Year celebration. Usually there are some taboos that you can't do for a few days like sweep and use scissors and there's a few different ones.

So you can do those taboo things now, including again sweeping the floor. So you might want to sweep the floor and take the trash out. Although that's usually done on the sixth day to, you know, everything said accumulate. And so then you can then take it out. So it's like a metaphor for accumulating wealth within your home.

But this is a day you can actually sweep and take the trash out again. Usually eating dumplings because they look like little gold ingots is a popular one. And again, typically people will tend to stay at home that day because they don't want to miss the God of wealth when he does come. They want to be able to receive it. Another thing they do is they will pop fireworks or you can get some of those little poppers, you know, some that makes noise.

And they'll typically make noise around the home to welcome in the God of wealth and to scare out the spirit of poverty. So those are all things you can do to welcome in the God of wealth. If you're celebrating Lunar New Year and you happen to be up late earlier or whatever early morning late evening on the 22nd, there is a nice article from Tanya Feng Shui. Love Tanya. Here at states that she says that on the 22nd at 1.40 a.m., you're actually able to welcome the God of wealth, the God of nobility and the God of happiness. So there's actually three different energies you can receive that day at 1.40 a.m. So she uses a system called Chimen Dune Jaw and the system basically goes off stacking and you know, like a piling up with these good energies in certain sectors or directions. So there's actually two ways you can do this. You can set up an altar in any of the sectors.

So remember the sector is actually the pie shaped grid in your floor plan. So you would have to locate these sectors within your floor plan or alternatively you can just actually position yourself to look towards that direction and pray or meditate about, you know, what you want. And she does state that if you do this, that is best to do it outside. So hey, maybe you want to go for a little midnight stroll around your home. So she does state here, obviously you can pray to just one of these in welcome one of these 80s or you can welcome all three.

So you know, whatever resonates most with you. So the first one for receiving the God of wealth January 22nd at 1.40 a.m. So you can look towards the east or you can use the east sector. And you can just say a short little meditation or prayer and focus on what, you know, your goal is for the year or set the intention for wealth for this new year for this manifestation. Right.

So the second one receiving the God of nobility. So same day and time. But this one is the northeast sector or looking towards the northeast to walk in the God of nobility. So again, nobility, at least for my understanding, it's like helpful people can help you always have help in life. So if you have something that you have had a problem with.

You know, that I would focus on, you know, setting the intention to have someone come help you or you could have problem solving abilities. So that would be the God of nobility. So the third one receiving the God of happiness, same day and time. But this one is a northwest sector or looking towards the northwest for welcoming the God of happiness. I did see another article that actually put welcoming the God of wealth on February 1st.

So there is a little bit of lit of discrepancies in the date. Again, Tania says the 22nd is good. Other sites or whatever say that the 27th or the 5th day is typically good. So with that, I will say that the energy does vary because, you know, five days after lunar New Year's not always quote unquote a good date, you know, energetically. So either way, you know, pick your date and, you know, pick what you feel is best.

So I think as long as you have good intentions and you do these, these things receiving the out of wealth, nobility and happiness and all that, that you're actually going to, you know, set that good intention and it's going to work out for you. So don't stress about getting the date to perfect. You know, so yeah, there's that.
