The 8 Sectors of Your Home

Uh hmm i need confirmation that you guys can probably hear me on on here so i'm trying to make sure that you can actually hear me too um i'm gonna go to my page hold up just a second i'm gonna go to my page and i want to make sure that my audio is working because again i've just had a lot of issues um with the audio let's see here it's a little bit of troubleshooting guys hold it sorry um it so i'll try to i'll try to be looking through that um so today we're talking about the eight sectors of the home um i have done a lot of teaching this past month and one of the things that i realized is that um with the live workshops that i'm doing i really feel like it needs to be something where um i i can do also some uh some basics too and so i thought it would be really good i'm just actually reteaching some of the stuff i've actually talked earlier this month um and one of the ones that i wanted to really do uh that was the eight sectors of the home because um it's really where feng shui starts i'm gonna make sure i take that off oh i'm gonna turn my bluetooth off my phone and again i really just want to confirm and make sure that i have audio on facebook because i don't see let's see here that's another video that i watch okay so i'll just go ahead and keep that up um and i'll be able to excuse me check back there it's gonna be a long day i did a lot of yard work earlier i was um i barbecued i've been having a just a nice sunday uh afternoon and um yeah just coming on here and doing a little bit of teaching so again um just kind of going back to some basics really just taking it back a little bit i want people to understand where they can start with feng shui and i realize i have not done a lot in terms of excuse me in terms of um some basics so i thought it'd be really good to touch on those eight sectors um for june july august and september i'm gonna be going through a feng shui for your front door feng shui for your um bedroom function for your kitchen and feng shui for your office space and so those are going to be really um easily accessed you know ways to start doing feng shui easy application so let's go ahead i'm going to go ahead and uh let's go ahead and show my desktop uh share okay i'm hoping you guys are seeing this desktop i think that's working okay so let's go ahead and start with the eight sectors of the home um again this is just really basic information that you can start applying feng shui right away it takes it into a little bit of a feng shui theory uh view of things so there's different ways to look at feng shui and what these eight sectors do is kind of show you um what energy is is in that part of your home and so to kind of start out i'm going to talk a little bit about kind of a western view or btb view of feng shui oftentimes it's called like btb um it actually orients the energy map to the way you enter space and so it has these fixed life areas um it's also said according to what is called life aspiration for life aspects and it relies a lot on colors imagery and design and attention to enhances space however you what i want to show you and what we're going to talk about today it's going to be a more eastern traditional view of feng shui so it orients the energy map to the actual compass direction in your space and that's what we're going to touch on today so feng shui said according to your personal energy using your chinese astrology chart and also the way space is laid out which is what i'll talk about um over the next few months so we're going to be looking at topping into a chair energy of your natural environment also according to external features and we'll talk about that with feng shui for your front door or the um external environment i'm still trying to make sure that i am like everybody's seeing my stuff here okay cool i make sure my screen sharing good all right so um a feng shui is i don't sometimes i touch on it sometimes i don't it's actually part of what is called the five arts of chinese metaphysics and for some reason i couldn't move these lines out of here so just ignore that um let's see i was supposed to have some people join me live so i'm making it is five different um areas or five different um kind of fields of metaphysics so there's one called life reading which is um bossy which is you're trying to use astrology uh i never get tired like it on camera doing things like life readings sometimes are called destiny readings where you're able to look at your personal energy and uh you know take a reading from that um it's not uh some people i think think that it's like um reading like your fortune it's not really reading your fortunes it's reading your personal energy that you're usually um you know you're you're you tend to fall back into like a default mode um the second is chinese medicine which includes things like acupuncture acupressure and herbal medicine the third is divination which is using different systems eugene chi min dun jaw some of them there's something called like dalu ren and um z way doshu there's different types of donation in the eastern tradition just like there are western um one called mountain so mountain is more esoteric it's more about like um something that you would go into the mountains to learn so it's called mountain but it's actually part of um um just an esoteric view of feng shui something like martial arts they're really big into sigil and talisman making and doing magic you know magic with the k so that's part of that mountain um aspect of it so feng shui feng shui falls into the part that is called physiognomy so physiognomy is literally looking at the shape or appearance of something and assessing it it falls into the same lines as a palm reading face reading or even like phrenology where they read like the bumps on your head and it can also be looked at to look at your external features there's actually like 81 different types of mountain formations and different types of water formations so it's very much about the appearance of the way things are shaped so feng shui is a general former appearance of something and they there's a saying and feng shui that form supersedes formula so this is really a lot about how your space is set up and how you use it not necessarily what you're putting in it so your natural environment is very important it's estimated that a natural i'm sorry about 70 of your chi comes from your natural environment and she is described as a wind and water it comes from an old wild poop home that states that she is dispersed by the wind and it gathers at the boundaries of water and hence the name feng shui wind and water um it's also a lot of the way you fill in a space the way i've described it to um my daughter's fourth grade class is that uh it's the way you feel in a space and so have you ever moved your furniture around and your face felt uh felt different that is a feng shui it's the way it makes you feel you know it's going into a different home and it feels different that's feng shui um and again how you use a space so each sector location or gua the names are kind of interchangeable and your home has a natural energy to it and that's based on the way your home sits and faces and using this natural energy to support your actions and goals is really the most effective way to use feng shui again how you using your space not so much what's in it um adding objects adding you know items i have this just handy because i was doing a talk yesterday and using items or objects like this um really does not it doesn't really enhance the energy or chi as much as um actually uh i'm trying to make sure i have any more people coming in um as much as um using the energy of a space which comes from location and direction okay so for this reason items like this are not necessary you know some people use them i mean i have some plants in some areas but again i don't i i did when i first started doing feng shui i use a lot of these things because i um i didn't understand how to kind of harness the energy kind of how to use it and that's what we're going to talk about today so um talking about a feng shui taking it to like the very beginning of um what is called the the element cycle so um all of chinese metaphysics actually uses the element cycle uh chinese medicine your natal chart your um chinese astrology chart actually uses these element cycles and um everything comes in a yin and yang polarity um except for uh within your home but there's a 501 switcher water fire earth metal and water um so it's just a cycle of creation so wood it burns fire fire creates earth earth it houses and creates metal you know if you think of metal ores metal condenses and creates water and water feeds wood so each direction each of the eight directions within your home is actually associated with one of these elements so let's look at where these are you know so the directions and the elements uh actual compass direction um so this is literally taking a compass you stand about the center of your home you orient yourself in the compass and you're like oh that is south and that is north oh you know that is east and that is west you know it's just literally finding the direction um within your home and these are usually called sectors a palace or a wall and a numbers associated with each direction um a yijing trigram is associated as a sign to each palace or direction or area and for that reason i always say there's no fixed life areas with classical feng shui um and so it can also be a pie shape like that so if we look at it here you know laying it over a square house like this might make sense but if your house is misshapen doing something like this would make more sense and i actually offered to do this free of charge for you if you send me your floor plan i will um lay this over and i'll send you one of the guides that just talks about what i'm actually going to discuss today so again everything in chinese metaphysics has elements to it you know every every aspect of of chinese metaphysics goes off of the five elements and again young polarity and we have elements too and so again looking at this would be an example of somebody that was born i don't think i'd make that bigger without doing something weird no i changed it okay um so this is why i say there's no general life areas um there's i've always mentioned you know we're also different we all have different energy and we all have different personalities and we all have different tendencies because looking at our eastern astrology um we all carry a different energy and even people that are born on the same day grow up in different environments you know so there's different um a bunch of different aspects to look at when we're looking at feng shui and it's just like all of you know we're all different you know we can look here at this chart and we can get a lot of information from it and we can say you know what um you know this area corresponds to my career so i can enhance it in a certain way but saying that you know only you know the northwest associates to a career um is is a little bit flawed and we'll kind of look a little bit at that because there are ways to enhance an area which we'll talk about this would be an example of somebody born you know 1996 you know in april 18th at midnight or i'm sorry at noon that's worse okay so just know there's a lot of information that can be taken from it and you will be able to tailor make your feng shui more um more personal to you so looking at the eight areas diving in um each area represents a thousand things um there's a number associated with it a eugene trigram associated with it an element associated with it body parts organs emotions a person within the household and even the season so this shows of us what energy is actually like native to that palace and the way i kind of describe this is that you know each area just like you have a hometown you're from you know you might live somewhere else but you have a hometown and you're from that place and the energy you kind of carry you know it can be it to you know hey i grew up in the south or i grew up in the north you know um and so again these you're you'll always be from that place you know you'll always be from that place and you'll always have a certain attributes to you that's kind of how i how i describe these areas they have a native energy to them and they the air the energies can move to different areas which we won't really talk about today but they always carry this energy with them and these associations with them but for today we're just going to look at each area or gua or palace and talk about the attributes that are associated with them let's start with number one it's the element of water it's called con palace it is the organs um your bladder and sex of reproductive organs your urinary system your body part is associated with his ear it is kind of carries the energy of commerce and trade intelligence wisdom and knowledge it is the animal side of the rat and you can use metal um design aspects or water to enhance the area and so the way i actually describe this because um there's another area in the home that's associated with like learning and academic performance but the north is actually associated with um intelligence and wisdom and so the difference between the two really is going to be you know that that how to use an area versus um knowing how to use it and so you can know how to do something you could have the knowledge or the book smarts to do something but to have the wisdom and intelligence to understand when to do it kind of like feng shui you know um you have to have a little bit of an intuition or experience or you know kind of that that intelligence that um that you understand when to use certain formulas you know when to do certain things um rather than just knowing that it can be done so i hope that makes sense so if you that like to hang um and enhance those traits within your your home you can enhance it with water and metal so i will say you cannot put water or metal anywhere or sorry water anywhere for 20 21. water is not recommended but you can enhance it with metal design elements or actual metal objects um southwest is associated with the number two it is called palace it is the element of a yen earth and it's associated with the organ of the spleen and your body part is the stomach it represents property assets and indirect income and in some cases it can represent um a held your health um but if you would like to enhance this area you could enhance it if you happen to work um from you know like contract work where your work is not steady or you do something like uh investing where it's like you know indirect you put put some into it and take it out you know that is the type of energy that's associated with it um like hitting you know uh indirect income uh working on contract stuff like that um as opposed to working for somebody the animal signs that it represents is the monkey and the sheep and you can enhance the area with a large ceramic faces pottery crystal stones um it can be a place where a fire is put candles it can be a place for stoves or fireplace and it's actually one of the best places to place water especially if you work off indirect income but again you can't place water here for 2021 because it has um certain yearly afflictions in there all right so the east associated with the number three is called shin palace it's the element of yang wood it is represents the liver the body part it represents is the legs and feet the animal sign is the rabbit it represents growth and expansion self growth and courage it's almost like having the courage to do something if you or your child plays sports or does something almost like a high risk a job or a a very active job or an active sports player it's an area you can enhance with plants wood carvings and water but again not for 2021. the southeast is the element of yinwood associated with the number four and it's called soon palace the body parts that are associated are the legs and the hips the organ is the gallbladder and see this is the area that is usually associated with academic performance and studying and education um if you want to enhance that within your home it's a really good area to enhance with plants wood carvings or water so anything that's like wood or water but again not for 20 21 and it's the animal sign of the dragon and snake the northwest six let's see i'm trying to make sure i don't see any comments here the northwest um only here in a minute the northwest is is associated with the number six it's the element of yang a metal it's called uh chen palace or qian gua it is the organ of the intestines the body part of the head and your mind and it represents the animal sign of the pig and the dog and so it's very much a element that is really it's energy that associates with like precision um altruism which is almost like that social justice you know um you want justice for everyone you want to make sure everyone's being treated equally and that type of thing and um it also represents vision but not like sight vision like a forward thinking um and direction you know in your life something you'd like to enhance this area in your home you enhance it with large metal objects statues or sculptures um large pottery which are the element of earth and ceramic faces crystals and stones it's a good place to put some of that stuff west is associated with the number seven it's called dwe palace or it is element of yen metal um its organ is the lungs the body part associated with it is the throat mouth and tongue and the animal sign is the rooster so the west or the yen metal represents organization communication likability happiness celebration and even like charisma and you can enhance it with large metal objects statues or sculptures and then earth elements like large pottery ceramic faces or crystals and stones this is the area so this area holds what is called the wealth star for 2021 um and it's an area where you can actually place maybe like a large column of water not a permanent water feature not something you're going to leave there long term but during certain days you're working in an area you can enhance the area with a column of water maybe you could even put a bamboo plant or a water-based type plant in it and you can leave that for the time being use not a place you want to put permanent water because it can actually cause health issues so the northeast associated with the number eight is called genghua um a element of yang earth represents the or sorry the spleen um the fingers and toes and the the northeast it really represents stability um wealth and direct income a lot of people like to see a stove here um it represents like when you work for somebody directly it represents that direct income the animal signs are the tire and the ox and you can enhance the area with large stone statues pottery a china cabinet with ceramic crystal stones and it's a good area to have like a fire a candles fireplace or a stove um it could even be an area where you put a fire pit in the external environment but the novel for 2021 because that is the area of the ox the animal sign that governs the area for the year is called the thai soy and over activating the area can lead to um possible health issues or issues with authority i want to create that in our lives do we there's some tough energies this year it's hard to activate areas of our home this year the south but this is actually my favorite area for the year um because it has some really good energies so it represents the number nine it's called lee palace um it is an element of fire uh and the heart is the organ the body part is the eyes so it represents vision not in the way the north uh northwest does it represents literal vision like your your sight um innovation creativity your reputation happiness progress and spiritual life the animal sign associated with it is the horse and you can enhance it with having a stove in the area a fireplace fire pit candles um wood so you can add bookcase plants or wood carvings to the area to help grow the palace um i really like it this year to put um to put a candle sorry i really like inserts but candles it has a really good energy especially if you're trying to establish um some sort of presence online like if you're trying to um establish yourself as some sort of authority figure the uh south is really good for the remainder of may i think until june 5th um don't activate throughout june because it has some energies coming in um center number five so you may notice i didn't talk about the center area and i didn't include it in my numbers um because the center is considered a negative area or i'm not really a negative area the when it when it visits other areas is considered negative um generally it's not considered negative it's an area you want to keep in your home that is free of clutter it's not you know a negative feature there such as water feature or fire um if you have water or fire in the center of your home it is known as uh you know if there's fire there it's known as fire burning the heavenly heart it's a form called that a formation called firebring the heavenly heart and if you have that feature in your area you could experience some health issues like if you have your stove in the center of your home or if you have like open water or water feature in the center of your home don't ever activate the center of your home and it literally represents the center of our body and so we don't want to do that right um the element uh the reasons it's negative the element that is associated with it is earth element but it is more like lava or hot earth okay it is considered negative because whereas the other areas in our home are represented by a yijing trigram um the center is not there's no striagrum association and so it's kind of a wondering energy and it could be extremely beneficial and extremely um uh it's actually called the king maker it could be bring you extreme wealth but it's very high risk wealth opportunity and so unless you're like elon musk or you know a millionaire don't um activate the area willingly or else you could have some loss you know um since it's like lava it could be super fruitful and um you know very fertile ground but it can also be super destructive and destroy everything that's passed so for that reason we don't um want to mess with uh activating a um flying star number five so it's more about the flying stars but anyway so energy mapping of our space um based on the direction your home scissor faces so this shows us where the energies fall in our space this allows us to set up feng over a floor plan and so when you lay it over your floor plan you know like well this is in earth i can enhance this area you know with some stones and crystals like with some fire here you know i know that this area represents wood you know i can enhance it by next year not this year not for 2021 for 2022 maybe placing a fish tank here you know so that's the way we look at it and we can enhance these areas of our home especially the areas that we use a lot of our bedroom our stove and kitchen or our office space our front door okay and here's what it would look like with a square
