July Energy Update

Hey guys, welcome to learn Feng Shui podcast where ancient tradition meets modern living and each week we cover different aspect of Feng Shui or Chinese metaphysics. I'm Candice Berlanga, certified Feng Shui practitioner and this week we're going to cover the energy for July. What does the month have in store for us? We're going to look at the energy tones for the month, little weather forecast, zodiac forecast and flying star Feng Shui. All right, let's get into it.

I wanted to make a quick little announcement that my website is a revamp and up and running better. I decided to keep my newsletter on the Substack which is linked on that website and uh the blog will follow as soon as I'm able to kind of figure out how to add to the website. But for now, it's up, it looks better than it did and we we got it going. All right, well, let's get into the energy for the month. July 7th or so starts the month of the wood goat, the Yi Wei and that brings in that first 15-day solar cycle of energy is called lesser heat.

It's a time of year when they say temperature rises but it's not the hottest it will be and I can't imagine cuz although we've had a lot of rain which is a marker, a seasonal marker of this time of year, it has only served I think to make things hotter and to not cool it down. Again, thunderstorms usually pretty prominent this time of year from the hot air, so expect more of that. I think average rainfall I'm not going to talk about how to stay healthy because I mean, I have that on last month. Still kind of the same thing with that summer season. July 22nd or so brings us into the solar cycle of greater heat and kind of the same thing but it's just going to be a hotter than it is.

I kind of predict a little bit of a wet summer as we've already been having, at least here in the southern states. I'm not sure how kind of those northern states have been. Looking at the energy tone for the month, the wood goat and the hexagram 48 called well. This is of course coming from that newsletter. This month is unique in the pairing known as secret friends, the goat and the horse or combo six makes a special combination. Although this combination makes fire, this month also makes a a special and notable combo referred to as the sun and the moon. It symbolizes the yin and yang coming together in balance and support, especially for those with the zodiac sign of goat and horse. This also connects naturally to the wood goat hexagram 48 called the well. I mean, it's just like it sounds, it's a well, you know, resources unseen but available when you go deeper.

Represents a shared source of support that are available to both the yin and yang. And again, if you have the zodiac of goat, it's just going to be pretty much all year because you're combining with that horse for the year that makes this. It really just means that the month may offer support, insights, and solutions that might not appear obvious at first. Instead, they're found by looking deeper, kind of like tapping into to a well. [snorts] Try revisiting an old idea or looking for existing relationship connections and resources.

What feels hidden may become surprisingly available and useful. Look to establish connections this month for support and help. And just a quick note, after today's episode, the next new episode will be in August. It'll be that first Friday of August. But, I will have a little bit of a revamped episodes, going kind of back to my catalog.

I think this month is probably going to be the episode where I talked about parks. So, I really liked that episode. Also, in the newsletter, I did I've been trying to include a little informational on page two where I usually have like the how to stay healthy and all that kind of stuff. But this month I talked about the four Earth signs because although the goat is a wood goat, it is in itself a Earth sign and it's a transition between the seasons of summer and fall. So August actually starts the season of fall according to Chinese metaphysics.

Just kind of reading from the newsletter here says one reason these signs are associated with transitions is that they contain more than pure Earth energy. They hold traces of other elements and seasons as well reflecting the overlap between one season and the next. And of course July is one of these turning points. The transition. The Yang energy has reached its peak.

Be The Yin is beginning to grow and even though summer is still in full swing or it's hot, it signals the gradual return of the Yin energy that overtakes in the fall and the winter. So I just thought it'd be nice little educational have little fun facts on there. You get a few want to read that, go ahead and check out the Substack or learnfromchetai.com. You can find the link there. All right, let's take a look at the zodiac signs most impacted by the month of this goat here.

Remember not every zodiac sign has really an interaction. So not everyone will have a forecast. The energy will impact you in a different way, but not on the zodiac sign way if that makes sense. Okay. So the energy will impact you depending on where it falls in your natal chart as I say every month.

Remember you have four zodiac signs. So take note of where that sign falls and that has is the area of life that it can potentially impact. The year is your social circle, community, friends, people around you. Month is a career, partner, relationships. The day is health and romantic relationships.

Hour is thoughts, feelings, emotions and relationship with children. If you have a downline, it can be your subordinates also. So, again for this, we just look at the zodiac signs. The Grand Duke is the goat, of course, the sign that governs the month. Goats may find support when needed.

The Grand Duke combination and Sun Star bring helpful people and resolutions to problems, as I talked about earlier. The Pummel Saddle favors career, and so does the Golden Carriage. Can support financial opportunity. As with the good, always has a little bit of negative. The Sky Emptiness, Bad Chi, and Cascading Clouds can just mean there's some emotional ups and downs, making it important to stay focused.

And although that Sun Star does bring resolution and problem-solving, it requires you to face issues openly and head-on. Sometimes it's best to lay it all out and expose the issue to resolve it. So, it is a open conversation, heart-to-heart type of thing. It's a Yang energy, and that Yang means laying it all out, opening up, you know, and and exposing everything, and facing it head-on. So, that's what the goat can do really for the whole year.

Again, you have a combination with that horse, and plus these are the auxiliary stars. So, you can look at that really for the whole year. The horse, snake, and goat make a seasonal combination that supports fire energy, makes fire. It supports inspiration, recognition, visibility, and confidence to be seen. This also makes it a strong time to share your ideas and step into the spotlight, cuz that fire energy is visibility.

You can be seen on purpose, share your ideas, post consistently, or speak up on what you've been holding back. Take a big step, pitch something, launch a small offer, or finally act on an idea you've been sitting on. Also, keep things moving. Take action instead of overthinking or waiting for perfect timing. So, things sometimes we definitely do that, right?

I have a shirt that says, "Hang on, let me overthink this." That's story of my life. Okay. A lot of metal energy. All right, the rabbit, pig, and goat wood energy is associated with growth, the learning, creativity, and long-term vision, making it favorable time to plant seeds for future success. It supports learning, education, and skill building, encourages creativity, planning and new ideas, favors cooperation, networking, and shared goals.

Combo of six secret friend, the horse, brings movement this month combining with the horse to create fire energy. The combination also helps bring help when needed like I talked about earlier, but sometimes this means being dependable or helpful to other people, too. So, although you can draw on the energy of, you know, help, you can also be helpful to somebody who needs it. Accepting support instead of trying to handle everything alone, and of course being helpful to others, focusing on collaboration, partnerships, and trusted connections. Be supportive without draining your own energy, and use the added fire energy to build momentum on personal goals.

The clash zodiac for the month is the ox. Remember, you can use a clash for change. It's a good month to end habits, travel, or bring closure and endings. Remember, you can use the feng shui by spending time in the combining zodiac signs. This month, I would use the southeast dragon sector of the home, and although the two illness star is there for the month, just spending time here can help you combine away the clash.

Just do not activate it. Talk about that feng shui here in just a second. But and as a quick little side, I did have somebody ask me, which I didn't realize it was months ago on a post I put up, what how do you use that clashing energy? Again, you can ending bad habits, uh smoking, um if you want to lose weight, you want to travel, you know, things like that. Traveling is a change.

So, anything that helps make a major change in your life is good, especially for a clash year. So, for example, if you are sign of the rat, all right? You're going to have energy that clashes all year with your zodiac. So, how do you negate that change? Well, again, you can combine it away with the feng shui.

All right, dragon and monkey combine, you just pick the sector with the best stars for the year. In this case, it is the southeast. Again, even though it has illness star, you uh just spend time there with that corresponding zodiac sign, okay? And not only that, you can make the change. Again, like I said, if you want to, you know, fix your health, well, it's a good time to face those issues head-on, kind of like we talked about.

It's a good time to make a change. Maybe you need to move. Maybe you've been thinking about making some kind of major life change. You're going to change religions, something like that, okay? So, a major change, and again, it's clashing away, so if you need to end a bad relationship or do something like quitting smoking or vaping, it's a perfect month for you to do that.

All right, let's go to the feng shui flying stars for the month. Looking at flying stars for the month of July. Remember, you don't have to use every sector each month. You just start by choosing one or two stars or a zodiac sign. Maybe that supports your goals.

Like I said earlier, the ox the ox combines with both the dragon and the rooster, but the rooster has the five star for the month. We don't want to spend time there. Spend time in southeast where the dragon lies. You should be just fine. Just watch your health.

If you have health problems, maybe don't spend your time there. Um but don't activate the area. Spending time there is going to be okay. That's kind of how you use it. Focus on the spaces you use most also.

So, your front door, your bedroom, your desk, and office, or your kitchen. If the negative stars fly there, you can place a little simple cure, or you just use them less, okay? For a deeper layer also, you can look at your life gua number. A lot of people know this as their best and worst directions. The star combination in that sector shows how the month can affect you personally.

So, if your life gua is two, and the eight wealth star is in there in the southwest, then you'll expect more clients or income opportunities. Doesn't work magically, but remember the eight star indicates steady wealth building or even finding a job, more work. It indicates hard work, okay? All right, positive stars for the month here, flying star number one, the authority star goes to the east to a Gua three. The one eight combination, support learning, strategic planning, wisdom, and gradual accumulation of wealth.

It is an excellent sector for working and applying for jobs and developing long-term goals. Remember we don't always see results immediately. The eight star's about accumulating and saving, not automatic gains, okay? Gua three may find it easier to make decisions and gain guidance from mentors, teachers, or trusted advisors. The energy supports personal growth through learning and experience.

You can enhance it by reading, studying, working on long-term plans, hold important conversations or meetings here, apply for jobs or take calls for interviews here, and keep the area clean. Activate wallet can activate with a radio, fan, lighting, or just working in the sector. So, six four combo in the northeast, the six and four star create a what's called a combination of 10, often associated with completion, fulfillment, and bringing matters to a successful conclusion. The sector supports finishing projects, receiving recognition for past efforts, and seeing results of work that have been developing over some time. The six star can bring leadership, authority, and discipline will restore as learning, creativity, communication, and relationship building.

For the Gua eight, it's a great month to work on unfinished business, formulate plans, or take on more responsibility. The energy can help you see the results of past work, also. You can enhance it the sector by planning, writing, or working. Keep the area organized, free of clutter to support clarity and completion. And of course, the combination, like I said, described as having an earth coming together, an opportunity to bring ideas in a form and see results come full circle.

Don't activate it with fans or radio because the month breaker ox, remember that energy, it clashes in your zodiac would also clashes in the feng shui where the ox resides in your home. Remember that your uh I guess I should mention that too. I don't know if you knew your zodiac signs also can be found within your home. And either activated or enhanced. But we're not doing that again because it is this because it is the sui po or month breaker.

Don't activate. You can spend time there. All right. Wealth star number eight goes to the north combines with the metal star six creates a combination associated with leadership, authority, and financial opportunity. This sector can help turn hard work into results, especially when goals are approached through good old-fashioned hard work.

The energy favors career advancement, business growth, strategic planning, and attracting helpful mentors or noblemen. The gua one, this can help you feel more confident taking on leadership roles, making important decisions, or pursuing professional goals. The combination supports recognition, credibility, and the ability to gain support when needed. Use the energy to make progress when you felt stuck. How to enhance it?

Use the sector for business planning, financial reviews, or important meetings, apply for jobs, online interviews, work, and goal setting. Keep the sector organized and well-maintained. Clean, guys, to encourage steady opportunities. Due to the yearly three killings and year breaker, but the sui po there for the year two, we're just going to avoid activating it, but it is good to use. And we do have some sectors that have good stars, but they are challenging with the yearly star, okay?

So, flying star number nine, spiritual and happiness star is usually pretty sought after, especially in this period nine era. But this month goes to the southwest combines with the metal star seven, and it can support visibility, charm, communication, social activity, especially networking. It's great for that, marketing, sales, public speaking, and attracting attention because the 97 combination kind of means like women and song, right? It's like having fun drinking. That's why it's good for networking cuz it's like going and having a beer with you the people you're trying to to win over, okay?

The same energy can also mean gossip though, misunderstandings, and impulsive decisions, as well as verbal verbal arguments. A Gua 2, you may find yourself more visible and influential. While this can bring opportunities to connect with others, it's also important to communicate thoughtfully to avoid being involved in drama, rumors, or unnecessary disputes. Can also indicate legal issues due to slander. Watch what you say and who you say it to.

You can use this sector with caution, especially for networking and marketing, but think before you speak, post, or respond, especially online, right? We see these comments online a lot. Avoid gossiping and arguments and keep the space bright and organized. Could mean foot in mouth, so don't do that. Or may sometimes overindulgence, too.

It can mean overindulgence of again, just partying, a little bit of partying energy there, so cautious with that, okay? [snorts] Pace yourself. You can use the area for marketing networking. Think before speaking, posting, or responding. Avoid gossiping and arguments and keep the space bright and clean, okay?

It's my garage. I've been needing to get out there and organize it, but I've been doing one box at a time every so often, so you know, it'll get there eventually. Flying star number four, Academy star, a Gua 6, the northwest. So, combo four to the combination supports study, research, and writing, and personal development, but it also may create mental stress, overthinking, or difficulty following through due to low energy. Just be cautious if you're sleeping in this sector.

Gua 6 may also be caught up between responsibility and fun. Sometimes that happens. It helps with ideas and learning opportunities, but it can also feel stressed from too many obligations. Focus on prioritizing what matters the most. Avoid taking on more than you can manage.

Use with caution again, prioritize rest, keep the sector clean, calm, clutter-free. If the sector already feels heavy or stagnant, considering adding some metal decor. The yearly star two though, it's a little bit less impactful here. I talk about it every episode now cuz it's there for the year, but it is controlled by the metal of the sector because in that element cycle, metal controls the Earth. It's the two Earth star, so it's controlled a little bit, not too bad there, but just watch your health if you sleep here, okay?

The challenging flying stars for the month, what can we expect? We'll start here with the center. Remember from my perspective, I don't consider this a gua. I don't think you should activate it. I don't think the center of your home should ever be active, especially with water.

I've seen some practitioners say you should put water in there. I most disrespectfully disagree on that one. I I can't get behind that. I think it can cause a lot of issues if you put water in the center of your home. It's kind of a little aside here, but the center of your home is considered your heavenly heart.

Should be clean, spacious, and not active with fire and water. So, just a little little insight there, okay? Anyhow, the center here does though set the tone for the month. It's the the three quarrelsome wooden uh it combines with the one for the year. You know, not a bad combination there.

Remember, sometimes these energies can be looked at as positive. And I think this can kind of be a positive combination here because the one water star is feeding the three the three wood star, okay? Water and wood. The combination makes a blend of ambition, communication, and growth, which can be seen as our need to be understood by others. Remember, this affects us globally, too.

The energy encourages people to speak up, pursue new ideas, and take action. It's really an action-taking energy. It's a risk-taking, also. Three wood star represents action, taking initiative, determination, and the willingness to take risks. combined with the annual one water star, it supports also innovation.

But on a world stage, what does this mean? Mentioned risky and ambitious behavior, well, it also can represent the sportsman, okay? So, on a world stage, do we do see this reflected through the sporting events like the World Cup, political debates and social movements. Well, the combination encourages activity and achievement. It can also increase things like rivalry, impatience, and reactive behavior, so we have to be careful with that.

This is a little off-topic, but I've been loving the videos of all of the people coming to the US for the World Cup and how excited they are in finding and falling in love with the parts of the US that I love. All the simple everyday things, the simple everyday people. I kind of am reminded of that saying like, I'm not my parents. I have a lot of listeners overseas, we're not like our parents, okay? We don't share probably any of the same opinions.

We're all family and we very much welcome visitors from everywhere and I think getting closer to our Independence Day and celebrating our 250th year of the US being the nation that it is, it formed from this giant melting pot and then we I don't think we ever forget that. A small select group, I will say, you know, probably does, but you have that everywhere, but I'm loving all of the camaraderie and just energy that we're seeing for people visiting from all over the world to see the World Cup. Anyway, let's get back to this flying stars here. All right, next sector here, flying star two, the illness star. Two-nine combination, the combination can indicate stress and bring the need to prioritize health and well-being.

Star number nine, fire star, amplifies the effect of the two star, making small issues more noticeable and increasing the need for balance and self-care. While four does pay attention to your energy levels, avoid taking on more than you can handle, and go to the doctor if you have lingering health issues. You can choose area just prioritize rest and healthy routines, avoid over committing, keep the sector calm. You can place a little wulu or salt cure if you prefer. I don't believe it's needed.

The five-three combination five disaster star for the month goes to gua seven in the west, three for the year here. Uh potential for disagreements, misunderstandings, delays, unexpected setbacks. Star three's aggressive side can be more reactive under the influence of the star five making it easier for frustrations to escalate into arguments and even poor decisions. Gua sevens may just feel more easily irritated or challenged by obstacles. Patience and careful communication will be especially important when dealing with family, co-workers, and financial matters.

You can cure it by just avoiding unnecessary conversations and confrontations here in this area. Avoid major renovations, obviously. Double-check important plans. Double-check your work if you're a gua seven. Anybody here, keep the area quiet and orderly and use metal objects, but kind of helps weaken already that the sector is metal, so I don't think much of a cure is needed, but if it makes you feel better, you do you, boo, okay?

Flying star number seven, legal and dispute star in the south combines with that five earth star creating a challenging combination. Again, legal issues, theft, betrayal, accidents, financial setbacks, unexpected disruptions. The five star does tend to magnify the negative qualities of the seven star. It can mean like careless words, impulsive actions. So, extra caution's advised when making important decisions or handling finances, especially for the gua nine.

You may feel more reactive, frustrated, or prone to conflict this month. Be mindful of communication, avoid unnecessary risks, and double-check important agreements and transactions. Keep the sector quiet and undisturbed, okay? To cure it, avoid renovations, digging, or major construction. Delay financial risks.

Be cautious with sharp sharp objects and vehicles. Sharp objects, vehicles, and physical activities. Avoid excessive fire elements. I know I said that the five can amplify the seven, but the seven can control the five a little bit. Also, one other factor to think about is we have something called the Yin and Yang nobleman for the year that visits a specific sector.

Well, one of them It's It's kind of like the old tale, right? Of the Yin and Yang nobleman, they switched at the solstice, okay? So, at the winter solstice, the Yang nobleman takes effect, and at the summer solstice, the Yin nobleman takes effect. So, for the summer solstice So, after summer solstice, we actually had the energy problem-solving energy nobleman energy that sits in the south now, and it can help resolve some of the issues that are there. So, I don't think it's going to be as negative as you think, but keep a wulu gourd there.

I always say, don't be scared, either. Like, we don't need to be living in fear over these energies. I do this because I just want you to be aware of where things are at, and if you can negate a little bit of negative energies, then why not, okay? No renovation sectors for the month, obviously. It's going to be that Grand Duke in the south.

Southeast has that five star, so we're going to avoid that. And then, the Grand Duke for the month is southwest. So, any of those south sectors. And then, we're coming around here to the west sectors. West has a five West has the five yellow for the month.

West is going to have the five yellow for the month. The northwest has the Wuji Shaw. North has the Wuji Shaw, plus it's a year breaker, and the disaster Shaw sits in the northeast with the ox, which is also the month breaker so it looks like the only area you can renovate safely would be the east but [snorts] again uh even if flying stars are positive avoid renovations and heavy digging to avoid activating earth sha's. Sometimes they don't impact you just kind of depends. No renovation sectors or areas you want to avoid the major digging.

Renovations can be done done in some sectors using date and time selection that are specific to the way your home is oriented on the compass.
